History Abound in Machu Picchu

The city of Machu Picchu caught my attention when I was reading about the selection of new Seven Wonders of the World. Before having read the article, I hardly knew about the beautiful, old ruins where history spoke through each of the brick in the construction site. While its history relevance makes it a much preserved and highly protected site, the sheer design and architectural brilliance of the city of Machu Picchu intrigues the tourist, visitors, historians and the archeologists alike. While, I had the right-booking partner to help me through and with the travel arrangements and bookings, I would like to share a few personal experiences with all.

When you decide to visit the relics of Machu Picchu, choose the nearest and the best hotel in Machu Picchu to the historic site and the ruins. The city itself abounds with beauty of pre-Columbian architecture that can be seen in the narrow lanes, beautiful shops, old buildings and houses that are still preserved well against the tarnish of time. When you visit the town, you will be mesmerized by the peace that the place exudes and the history it puts forth.  The sheer genius of the construction of Machu Picchu is a human marvel to experience.

When you visit the town, having the right hotel in Machu Picchu to stay after your day of travel is very important to be able to relax and unwind with peace of mind to be ready for another day of exploration. Your hotel should be able to guide you through the local destinations and must see or must visit places along with places of local relevance. The best hotels in Machu Picchu help you with travel arrangements for local visits as well.

Make sure you choose the travel agency after a lot of research and take feedback from people who have visited the place. From my experience, I feel that choosing the right travel agency or partner to do the necessary groundwork of your travel and hotel bookings as well as tickets and itinerary is very important to having the right travel and visit experience.

Helping You Make the Most of Your Machu Picchu Packages

So you’ve researched the history, checked out the locations, and simply can’t wait to visit Machu Picchu? But, before you browse through Machu Picchu packages and finally make a booking there are a couple of things you should take care of. In this blog, we’ve put together a short list of points to remember before you book either of the Machu Picchu packages available online, so that you get to make the most of your holiday.

While the best season to book your Machu Picchu packages is between June and August so that you can fully savor the hiking and sightseeing experience, it also tends to get crowded around this time. This dry season attracts tourists from around the world, as the clear skies and charming trail take on a more appealing avatar. However, since the permits for hiking along the Inca Trail as well as train tickets to the base of the Inca ruins, Aguas Calientes tend to sell out during the dry season; it always makes sense to take you final call on which of the Machu Picchu packages work best for you well in advance.

When sifting through Machu Picchu packages to take a final call, do remember to look for one that offers the services of a guide. While most travelers prefer to explore destinations on their own, one cannot truly enjoy their visit to Machu Picchu without hiring a travel guide because this archeological site does not feature any signposts or information hubs. So, unless you are an expert on Inca history, a travel guide becomes a must-have during your visit.

We feature a host of Machu Picchu packages on our website that are tailored to suit the needs of luxury travelers to backpackers. A simple call to one of our online advisors and we can also make sure to create a package that features all your favorite destinations, at a budget that better suits your pocket.
